Highway Design – Sr. Design Engineer/QA-QC

We are looking for an outstanding candidate to partner with our project managers to provide technical direction and internal project controls within our talented group of design professionals including mentoring our junior engineers and technicians.

CLD is looking for a senior highway designer and QA/QC expert to support the work of our project managers by providing technical guidance and design controls to our team of highway design professionals including engineers and technicians.
 
The successful candidate will be a Professional Engineer with extensive experience designing and managing the technical aspects of state highway and municipal infrastructure projects with an emphasis on QA/QC and technical leadership.

Specific requirements include a BSCE w/PE and 12+ years’ highway design experience. Must be competent designing with MicroStation and InRoads, with particular expertise in geometric layout, drainage design and stormwater permitting. Potential candidates must possess excellent communication skills, technical expertise, and extensive knowledge of DOT requirements, as well as have demonstrated abilities in task management, project control, and QA/QC process management. Specific design experience in NH, ME, MA, and VT strongly desired.

Additionally, this position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to traverse uneven terrain on occasion (site assessments for roadside work) with reasonable accommodation while on field assignments.
